The George A. Jackson Elementary School Library program serves the students by encouraging enthusiastic readers, empowering curious researchers, promoting creative thinking and teamwork, and supporting teachers by providing resources and collaborating on lessons that enrich the curriculum and teach 21st century information literacy skills.
All students come to the library on a regular basis for instruction and book exchange. Older students have access to the library during open book exchange periods. eBooks and other electronic resources are available to students at all hours of the day wherever they have access to the Internet. Our teacher-librarian, Mrs. Kearon, will provide the usernames and passwords that are required for some of these sources.
eBooks can be borrowed by students using their 5 digit school ID # as both the username and password.
