At a recent School Library System meeting, Daryl Grabarek, the App Editor for School Library Journal spoke about the best educational iPad and Android apps for children. But before naming her favorites, she shared important recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics about media use by children. On Saturday, March 4th, Jericho elementary students and their parents were invited to explore and expand their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math by participating in a wide variety of activities and experiences planned by Jericho teachers, administrators and high school students. Activities like those in these photos are sure to inspire our students to challenge themselves to higher achievement in each of these fields of study. Second Graders Research the Planets
